tea as meditation

With practices steeped in ancient wisdom and tradition, crafting moments of calm and wellbeing with our herbal tea blends, Puerh tea, and Soba Cha.

Straight From Japan

We’re back from our souring trip to Japan, and we’re excited to be carrying this Organic Soba Cha from Niigata Prefecture. Soba Cha is a roasted buckwheat tea that is naturally 100% caffeine free (and gluten-free despite its name!). It has a lightly nutty, sweet taste and aroma, and can be enjoyed hot or cold - we personally love a cup of Soba Cha in the afternoon as a self-care moment!

Sourcing Trip

We just came back from our annual Sourcing Trip to Japan and Taiwan, where we had the best time visiting small-producer tea farms who take great pride in their craft, from Kagaboucha from Kanazawa to Alishan High Mountain Oolong tea, we can’t wait to share all of the wonderful tea and stories with you

We also had a chance to visit some of our vendors, including our favorite ceramics kiln master in Taiwan, who specializes in teapots made the old way, hand-crafted and fired in the kiln, without the use of electricity or modern machinery in any of the steps.

Since we’re a small, family-run business, we’ll have limited amounts of each product, but we’ll be sharing more soon, and follow along on Instagram at @wildorangeapothecary to find out about the timing of new product drops.
