Dedicated to crafting moments of peace
Wild Orange Apothecary is our little corner of the world, dedicated to crafting moments of peace, focusing on the slow ways and ancient practices, things created by the human hand, natural, and with intentionality and care.
We believe that tea is meditation, the act of taking a moment, the ritual of steeping the leaves, the deep breath taken while sipping the soothing liquid.
With the help of artisans- makers and growers from Taiwan, China, and Japan, many whose families have been practicing their craft for generations- we source fermented Puerh tea from Yunnan, aged like a fine wine, getting more and more complex with the passing of years.
We craft herbal blends, inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, and grounded in ancient tradition and history.
We take great pride in partnering with a 90 year old woodshop in Fukuoka to build the most beautiful, and functional boxes that each of our teas are stored in- using a wood that has anti-bug and anti-mold properties.
We’re also a family-run business. We have members in Yunnan and Taiwan, in addition to Los Angeles, to ensure that the quality and practices are up to our standards, and my 74-year-old father takes great pride in sampling and giving his stamp of approval for each of the teas we carry.
We’re constantly dreaming, discovering, and thoughtfully adding to our collection of offerings, designed to celebrate our connection to each other and the natural world. We hope it provides inspiration, healing, and deep calm.
